1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly — your name, email address, and financial transaction data you choose to log or import. If you connect Gmail, we access transaction-related emails in read-only mode to extract expense data. We never read, store, or process any other emails.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Xpand service — to display your expenses, budgets, and group splits. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, protected by Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules. Only you can access your own data. Group expense data is shared only with members of groups you explicitly join.
4. Gmail Access
If you connect Gmail, Xpand requests read-only access scoped to transaction emails. We do not store raw email content — only the extracted merchant name, amount, and date. You can disconnect Gmail at any time from your profile settings, which immediately revokes access.
5. Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
